Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it really is alarmed about the superior amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The support position developed for intervention encounters a high here inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
